Admittedly, this isn’t much of a recipe – just two ingredients – but it has the richness of mayonnaise combined with the spicy, smoky flavors of chipotle peppers. It’s actually quite tasty. Besides this whole blog SEO thing tells us we should link recipes internally for better results and this Chipotle Mayo was the perfect addition to our Chipotle Stuffed Tex-Mex Burgers!
Now, we could have thrown a bunch of other ingredients into the mix to make it sound a lot fancier. Trust us, we thought of that. However, the chipotle peppers are already in adobo sauce which contains its own set of seasonings. Chipotle peppers are also smoked providing additional flavor. Mixing them with the rich, creamy flavor of mayonnaise creates a delightful little condiment all its own. Why mess with a good thing?
So, grab that can of chipotle peppers out of the pantry, toss about 3 oz. worth (sauce included) into the food processor with about a cup of mayonnaise and blend until smooth. We recommend refrigerating the chipotle mayo for use later as the flavors will come together – like most anything else – over some time.
You will have far more than you will need if you decide to make the burgers linked above. However, as long as your mayonnaise has good dates then it should keep for awhile. Add it to your next sandwich for additional kick and smokiness or use as a dip.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 3 oz Chipotle Peppers, in adobo sauce
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in a food processor or blender. Process until smooth. Refrigerate immediately for later use (will also allow flavors time to combine).
