Sauteed Brussels Sprouts and Shiitake Mushrooms

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Canola Oil, or other flavorless oil
  • ½ tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 cups Brussels Sprouts, halved
  • 1 cup Shiitake Mushrooms, sliced and stems removed
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Green Onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Miso Marinade (optional) See post copy or recipe notes

Method
 

  1. Heat both oils together over medium-high heat in a pan or wok. Add Brussels sprouts and cook for 2 - 4 minutes.
  2. Stir in shiitake mushrooms and cook for another 2 - 4 minutes. While cooking sprinkle in the soy sauce. Optional: spoon in some miso marinade if making as a side to Miso Glazed Black Cod (see recipe notes).
  3. Remove from heat and top with green onion. Serve as a side to your favorite Asian dish.
