Sure, we have a few. They’re usually the ones that pop up more frequently but we love this culinary journey we’ve embarked upon. Like many of our recipes, this is a simple one. These sauteed brussels sprouts and shiitake mushrooms will compliment your East Asian or Japanese fare.
We’ll spare the lengthy commentary on this one since it is merely a side so let’s get right to it!
Preparation: Sauteed Brussels Sprouts and Shiitake Mushrooms
Simple, quick, delicious. Gather your ingredients.

Heat both oils together over medium-high heat in a pan or wok. Add Brussels sprouts and cook for 2 – 4 minutes.

Stir in shiitake mushrooms and cook for another 2 – 4 minutes. While cooking sprinkle in the soy sauce. Optional: spoon in some miso marinade if making as a side to Miso Glazed Black Cod (see recipe notes).

Remove from heat and top with green onion. Serve as a side to your favorite Asian dish.
