Blue cheese or bleu cheese, whether you want to give it the English or French spelling is one of our favorite condiments. It makes a fantastic vegetable dip for carrots and celery. Meanwhile, it accompanies traditional Buffalo wings like a hand in a glove. It is rich and creamy. There really is nothing quite like it. There are countless versions readily available in a jar at the grocery store but we have a Simple Homemade Bleu Cheese Dressing that will make you think twice before adding one of those to your cart.

As always, let’s make our lives easy. Gather the ingredients out front to make the preparation simple.
Simply prep the ingredients according to the instructions. Thoroughly mix and refrigerate immediately. Top with remaining 1 oz. of crumbles and chopped parsley. We find this gets better with time in the fridge as the ingredients get time to come together. Simple Homemade Bleu Cheese Dressing
Ingredients
- ¾ cup Mayonnaise, homemade or store bought We used Duke's for its robust flavor
- ½ cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 clove Garlic, finely minced
- ¼ cup Red Onion, finely minced
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice, about half a lemon
- 5 oz Crumbled Bleu Cheese Hold 1 oz. for topping
- 2 tbsp Buttermilk
- 2 tsp White Cooking Wine
- 1 tbsp Chopped Parsley
- Salt and Pepper, to taste About ¼ tsp of each
Instructions
- Simply prep the ingredients according to the instructions. Thoroughly mix and refrigerate immediately. Top with remaining 1 oz. of crumbles and chopped parsley.
- Optional: Run all ingredients in a food processor except 1 oz. of bleu cheese crumbles and parsley. Pulse to desired consistency. Transfer to a bowl and top with remaining crumbles and parsley.
